At last … off the mark

At last – after nine years of research, a year of stops and starts, and a half-hearted outline of a Website … we have broken the duck.

I have published the first couple of chapters of around sixteen, covering the return from the Ashes Tour in England in 1938 (see here), and the rancour and bitterness, and the remarkable happenings of the 1938/39 season. A few pen portraits of some great players, some profiles of lesser cricketing mortals, and some great characters from the country.

I hope you enjoy these first fruits. More text to come – some graphics, and hopefully soon a much better looking format. Lots to learn.
